Network Marketing, Social Media and a Donkey

Social Media undoubtedly has a big part to play in the future of network Marketing and will contribute towards the next few amazing years that are in store for the industry.

But how do you professionally get the best from the social media explosion? There is a right way and a wrong way, the right way will take some work and give great results for your business, the wrong way will just annoy everyone you meet, make you look like a donkey and leave you Nobby No Mates frustrated and lonely.

The Revolution Continues…

My fellow Networking Professionals,

Are you ready?  Are you in any doubt?

There is a lot of talk about 2009 and 2010 being the biggest years in Network Marketing history, thus presenting us as individuals with an unbelievable moment in time.

There are many factors that contribute towards this, it’s not just the current economic climate which will of course undoubtedly impact upon the industry, but the perception and acceptance of our profession is on the verge of a massive breakthrough into the mainstream.

With the likes of Randy Gage creating the NWM Manifesto and Art Jonak creating a movement with the “Network Marketing Revolution” both of which are designed to, and are asking for our help in taking this profession to a new level of public awareness, once again today we had another piece of great news and another step forward in this goal.

Watch this short video clip from NBC News, it’s happening NOW: http://www.nbc13.com/vtm/news/local/article/people_turn_to_network_marketing_in_soft_economy/59952/

Thank you Chris Pollone for doing your research correctly and for reporting accurately on our industry.

Once again I am excited… I hope you are too?

In the Hudson

The praise abounds for Captain Chesley Sullenberger for successfully landing in the Hudson river after losing both engines on a routine flight from New Yorks LaGuardia airport.

Saving all 155 people aboard he thourougly deserves any hero status that is being heaped opon him.  But what is equally amazing is just how cool and calm this guy is, just listen to this flight recording as the final moments unfold. Both his engines were out, he was losing altitude but his voice was calm and steady as he warned air traffic controllers “We might end up in the Hudson”.  Captain Chesley Sullenberger you are one cool guy, Respect.

So why aren’t we as successful as Bill?

Have you ever wondered what the difference really is between the likes of Bill Gates and you and I?  Surely, there must be some special secret that only a few privileged people have… You will be surprised that the difference is actually very small, and what’s more it is no secret!

Below is an extract from an interview with Bill Gates on the Larry King Show.

When Larry asked about his incredible wealth and success Bill Gates said:

“Larry, I was at the right place at the right time, and luck has a lot to do with that.”

Clue 1:

~ You must be in the Right Place at the Right Time ~ and yes luck does have something to do with it.

Bill Gates continued, “But Larry, there were a lot of people at the same place I was. One difference was I had vision. I saw the potential that was there.”

Clue 2:

~ You must have Vision ~ And with that Vision you need to see the potential in the opportunity that lies before you.

Mr Gates was not through yet. He continued, “But Larry there were a lot of people at the same place I was and a lot of people had the same vision. The Big Difference was I took Massive and Immediate and Focused Action.”

The big one! Clue 3:

~ You Must Take MASSIVE and IMMEDIATE and FOCUSED ACTION ~

The current climate and 2009 presents some incredible opportunities, I know you are in the right place at the right time but do you have the Vision?

Are you going to let life’s little challenges keep you from a life of abundance? Or, are you going to take Massive, Immediate and Focused Action?

One of the best on screen motivational speeches..

I haven’t seen this for ages and then stumbled across it the other day, if you have never seen Al Pacino’s speech from “Any Given Sunday” watch it now.  A real goose bump moment… brilliant!

Fed up with forgetting things you learn?

As someone who loves personal development, I am always searching for that next great book or an audio CD I can chuck in the car for a bit of PD on the move.  I always respect anybody who is willing to invest in themselves, the secret to growing your business will always be directly associated to how much you are prepared to grow and develop yourself.

But I’m sure like you, I always wish that I could remember more of what I learn, having said that it does mean I can keep reading the same books over and over again!  I am currently on the second read through of Tribes, by Seth Godin, a fantastic book.

I found this article an interesting read: Want to Remember Everything You’ll Ever Learn? Surrender to This Algorithm. http://www.wired.com/medtech/health/magazine/16-05/ff_wozniak?currentPage=all

If you are afraid of cold water, look away now… Some interesting ideas, that is of course if you can remember them!
